Inactivated vaccine for the immunization of chickens against Salmonella enteritidis and Salmonella typhimurium.


Description:
Inactivated vaccine for the immunization of chickens against Salmonellaenteritidis and Salmonella typhimurium.

Composition:
Each ml of vaccine contains:
Formalin killed cells of Salmonella enteritidis PT 4 2 x 109 cells inducing ≥2 RP*
Formalin killed cells of Salmonella typhimurium DT104 2 x 109 cells inducing ≥2 RP* *RP= relative potency

Dosage and Administration:
Administration is by intramuscular injection (0.5 ml in birds 4 weeks of age or more) observing aseptic precautions. Shake vaccine before use. Two vaccinations with an interval of at least four weeks should be given. The first vaccination can be given from 6 weeks of age and the second vaccination not later than 16 weeks of age. With respect to active immunity the vaccine has also been shown to be efficacious at day-old (0.1 ml) with a repeat dose (0.5ml) 4 weeks later. In exceptional circumstances it may be considered necessary to vaccinate chickens from 1 day of age if there is a risk of infection in the rearing phase. Next to the vaccination scheme hygiene measures & good husbandry practice should play an imp. role in control programme to reduce the incidence of Salmonella infection (Please refer product leaflet for more information).

Presentation:
500 ml PET vials or collapsible polyethylene multidose bottles for 1000 doses.
